Though trained in oil painting and printmaking both at Maine College of Art and American University, a studio fire in 1996 pushed Marsha to pick up watercolors, eventually becoming a teacher of this illusive medium. Though she has gone back to painting in oil, she still finds fulfillment in the struggle to conquer this tricky medium. During Covid she painted one full-sheet watercolor a day for three months as a way of getting through the isolation. Many of the paintings you see here are from that period.
