Carol writes about her life:
"Born and educated in Michigan, my interest in painting and photography began at the age of twelve. Although my first major in college was Art, I ultimately graduated as a Registered Nurse in 1970. I then worked and raised my family before moving to Maine in 1997 where I was inspired to devote myself to both photography and painting. As I have been fortunate to spend most of my first 21 summers on our yawl, I photographed the magnificent Maine coast with its villages, islands, harbors, coves and classic sailing yachts from the deck of our boat. These inspirational photographs have fed my passion to paint during the winter. My objective is to share my love of Maine with "those who live here and those who wish they did" through my photography and painting."
Carol studied at junior college and later with Jessica Lee, a Florida artist based in Maine, and Colin Page.
